William Haggas doesn’t send many up to Musselburgh, but when he does, it usually pays to take notice. His runners strike at a tasty 36% at the track, and that’s enough to make Fine Art Dealer a very interesting contender in the 100% RacingTV Profits Back To Racing Selling Stakes (2:22).
This two-year-old has been a bit of a hot property in the sales ring – his price has gone up each time he’s gone through, and he finally fetched 75,000 guineas at the breeze-ups earlier this year. He’s shown ability in two starts so far, learning on the job each time. On debut at Windsor, he shaped with promise before improving nicely when finishing third at Yarmouth next time out.
That Yarmouth form looks strong now – the winner has since scored at Listed level, and the runner-up also got the job done in style next time. That’s the sort of collateral form that makes you sit up and take notice.
Now dropping into selling company, Fine Art Dealer might not be thrown in at the weights, but he’s definitely one of the more progressive types in this field. The Timeform ‘small p’ next to his rating tells you there’s more to come, and the step up to seven furlongs looks just what he needs.

All in all, there’s plenty to like. With Jason Hart in the saddle and Haggas’s Musselburgh stats in his corner, Fine Art Dealer looks a cracking bet to get the job done.
